Special Constabulary

In Cheshire, we have over 300 people who have converted their spare time into action by becoming a Special Constable. They get involved in a wide range of operational duties - patrolling city centres, visiting crime hot spots and helping regular officers in a variety of activities. Police Support Volunteer

Police Support Volunteers provide assistance and support to the Neighbourhood Policing Teams, promoting vital links between the organisation and the community it serves. To find out more and the vacancies available, please visit our Police Support Volunteers pages.

You can also get involved through the Band of the Cheshire Constabulary. You do not have to be a member of Cheshire Constabulary to join.

The Museum of Policing in Cheshire is also run on a voluntary basis.

Transferees

The Cheshire Constabulary are not currently accepting applications for transfer from Officers serving with other Police Forces.

Work Experience

During the 2011/12 academic year we are unfortunately not able to offer work experience placements to students from secondary and high schools. This decision will be reviewed again for the following academic year.
