The Tactical Support Group is made up of officers with a number
of specialist skills, mainly expertise in dealing with public order
incidents.
It is called in to deal with violent offenders, public order
incidents, and they also assist in moving offenders from one cell
to another. Some officers have medical training so they can be used
in the first instance to administer aid, rather than send a
paramedic into a dangerous situation.
