Response
In accordance with section 1(1) (b) of the Act our response is
provided below;
Please note the following: The number of times
police were called to a Hospital: That information has been
recovered from our Incident recording system and includes brief
details of the nature of each reported 'incident' from 2005. Many
of the incidents are 'routine', e.g concern for welfare, assistance
to other agencies & sudden deaths.

Arrests: This data is taken from our custody system where the
place of arrest is shown as a hospital. The reason for the arrests
may, in the vast majority of records, have nothing to do with the
hospital in question indeed some of the hospitals listed are not
within Cheshire and its obvious that just happens to be where the
person arrested was at that particular time. In addition for 2005
we are only able to provide data from April onwards. Prior to that
date the custody records were paper based.
