Request
(1) Please send me a list of all occasions on which officers
have attended incidents relating to alleged breaches of the law in
schools during 2007, 2008 and 2009. Please include primary schools,
secondary schools and academies.
(2)For each incident, please include: a) Date of incident; b) name
of school; c) brief description of incident; d) action taken by
officers.
Response
In accordance with section 1(1) (b) of the Act our response is
provided below;

Question 2 d) We are unable to provide details of action taken as
the information is a free text entry on the incident log. To
recover this information would require a manual examination of each
log. This it is estimated would exceed the appropriate limit. The
appropriate limit is defined in the Data Protection and Freedom of
Information (Fees and Appropriate Limit) Regulations 2004, which is
covered by statutory Instrument Number 3244 of 2004. Furthermore,
Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 allows a public
authority to refuse to respond to a request for information where
the cost of compliance would exceed the appropriate limit as
defined by the above mentioned regulations.
Please Note the following: The data supplied does not necessarily
indicate that the persons involved were in any way connected with
the school named in each instance or that the incidents occurred
during the opening hours of the school concerned.
