Cost of Marketing

Previously I sought the information annually for 2005, 2006, 2007. I accepted the data for either calendar or financial year according to the system used by the force. I now seek the most recent data from 2007 to the present time, broken down annually (this may be one full year or two depending on whether you use financial or calendar years). Specifically, I need:

  1. The number of staff (full-time equivalent) working in marketing, external communications and press offices.
  2. The number of dedicated Freedom of Information officers (full-time equivalent).
  3. Total staffing cost of marketing, external communications and press officers.
  4. Total staffing cost of dedicated Freedom of Information staff.
  5. Total police spending on marketing, external communications and press offices.
  6. Total police spending on Freedom of Information.

Please note: From 01/10/2008 one additional full time FOI Compliance Officer has been employed making one FOI Officer and one FOI Compliance Officer.

In addition the costs of servicing each FOI request has been estimated by ACPO to be on average £350. Based on that estimate for the calendar year 2008 it has cost £22,9291 to deal with 559 separate FOI requests (That would include the figures shown in Question 6.)
