Request

For the periods 07/08 and 08/09 (please give each period's figures separately):

  1. The number of officers* against whom allegations or complaints of assault have been made.
  2. The number of officers who have been investigated following an allegation or complaint of assault.
  3. The number of officers charged with assault.
  4. The number of officers convicted of assault.
  5. The number of officers given written or verbal warnings over allegations or complaints of assault.

*please include community support officers as well as police officers.

All allegations will have been investigated, the results of the investigations however will be varied and will include withdrawn, local resolution, unsubstantiated, dispensation by the IPCC etc.
