I would like to know how many interpreters or translators your
force has employed over the past year. I would like to know much
the interpreters you employ are paid, and what qualifications they
hold. I would also like to know how many of them are registered
with the National Register of Public Sector Interpreters
(NRPSI).
Response
In accordance with section 1(1) (a) of the Act our response is
provided below;
The Cheshire Constabulary does not currently employ
interpreters, therefore the answer to your question is no
information held. However in order to assist you may I draw your
attention to previous responses to questions relating to
interpreters which you will find on our FOI
disclosure log in particular the Finance and Operational
Policing sections.
