Please could you supply me with the figures for the number of
non-crimed incidents recorded by the police force, in total and
broken down by the categories of incidents recorded by the force,
in each of the last five years.
Response
In accordance with section 1 (1) (b) of the Act our response is
provided below;
A national process for recording incident data by ALL forces
became effective from April 2007 and refers to both Crime and Non
Crime related incidents which have been reported to and recorded by
forces through various means. Prior to this, there were widespread
inconsistencies in the recording of such data with no common
framework in place which led to this particular project. You may
find the below link of use to you, showing how these incidents are
now recorded.
