Under the Freedom of Information Act, could you please tell me
whether - over the last two calendar years - your force has
used:
a.) private detectives
b.) private security firms
If so, could you please also state the costs involved and the
nature of the work involved.
Response
In accordance with section 1(1) (a) of the Act our response is
provided below;
In relation to both a) and b) there is no information held. The
Cheshire Constabulary has not used the services of a private
detective or private security firms. It should be noted however
that a private security firm is used by the owners of our HQ
building. This is under a contract between the owners, BAM FM and a
security firm to provide 24 hour manned security to the site.
