How much have the police paid in each of the last five years, to
release vehicles from compounds back to their owners?
Response
In accordance with section 1 (1) (b) of the Act our response is
provided below;
All vehicles released which the police have paid for the
recovery / storage. This includes vehicles recovered in Fatal
R.T.C.'s, Sec.165 RTA 1988 recoveries and vehicles used in
Crime.

2007 - £42,398.65
2008 - £36,819.83
2009 - £24,157.71 ( to November)
