Can you supply me with the following information -

  1. During the year 2009, what was the total amount paid by your constabulary for the services of private consultants, both firms and individuals?
  2. What was the highest single amount paid? For this, please include details, including what the payment was for, how many days work it involved and if possible who it was paid to.
  3. What was the highest amount paid for a day shift? Again, please include details.

In accordance with section 1(1) (b) of the Act our response is provided below;

Question 1

£802,344.32

Question 2

£322,608.50. This relates to payments to RLB (Rider Levett Bucknall) in relation to a major construction project being undertaken for Cheshire Constabulary training facilities. These monies were paid to the Company and not an individual for work throughout 2009.

Question 3

We do not hold this information. Payments were not apportioned per shift/day.
