How much money has been spent by your force paying
staff (both officers, PCSOs and civilian
employees) while they are investigated for crimes in the last five
years?
I would like to know what these crimes are, how long the staff
have had off work and the total amount paid while they were
suspended.
Response
In accordance with section 1(1) (b) of the Act our
response is provided below;
Suspensions during the period mentioned
- PC suspended for 2 months
- PC suspended for 4 months
- PC suspended for 25 months
- PC suspended for 4 months
- PC suspended for 2 months
- PC suspended for 9 months
- PC suspended for 6 months
- PC suspended for 9 months
- One member of Police staff suspended for 8 months
In each case they were suspended whilst investigations
were made into allegations of criminal conduct.
The cost in salaries in total was £159,669.84
