1. Does the force employ the services of security
companies in relation to its buildings?
2. If so, how much did the force spent on such
services in 2008?
3. How much did the force spend on such services in
2009?
4. Can I have a list of the premises where the
security companies are employed and clarification, where necessary,
of whether these are police stations or other buildings (such as
social clubs etc)?
5. Can I have a brief description of the tasks they are detailed
with? Ie patrolling the grounds, monitoring CCTV etc.
Response
In accordance with section 1(1) (b) of the Act our
response is provided below;
I have numbered you questions for ease of
reference.
Question 1. Yes
Question 2. Nil
Question 3. This is an on going requirement to a
maximum value of £30000.
Question 4. Security services are provided at one site
which is a major construction project on behalf of the Cheshire
Police Authority. The requirement will cease once construction is
complete.
