I am writing to request information under the Freedom of
Information Act. Specifically, I would like to know how many
officers and police staff were dismissed or resigned from Cheshire
Police each year for the last five years and why.
Please could you give me an itemised breakdown for each year
including a summary of how many resigned, how many were dismissed
and grouped by their reason for leaving, as well as being broken
down into police officers and police staff.
If information does not date back that far please provide
information from the earliest to the most recent dates
available.

Please note: Reason for leaving are not
recorded. There is no obligation on any employee to state their
reasons for leaving. The only obligation being to give the required
notice. Some employees may choose to give a reason during exit
interviews, others may not.
