Request
1. The total annual costs incurred by the Authority
for the provision of custody healthcare services since the
beginning of 2007 until 31st December 2009 - for the avoidance of
doubt these figures should include:
a) the detail of costs for the healthcare of
detainees;
b) costs associated with the examination of victims of
sexual assault
c) costs associated with the examination of injured
police officers or examination of police officers against whom a
complaint has been made.
2. Number of designated custody suites within the
Force area.
3. Details of designated custody suites shared with
surrounding Forces
4. The number and qualifications of healthcare
professionals (doctors, nurse or paramedics) employed by yourselves
and/or any outsourced provider
5. The numbers of medical examinations undertaken ( as
per 1 a-c above).
6. What type of healthcare professional has undertaken
the examination eg doctor, nurse, paramedic, EMT).
7. The annual total number of detainees processed
through each custody facility
8. Do you operate a response time per medical category
approach to your healthcare provision, and if so what are its
details.
9. Details of any payment mechanism associated with an
outsourced provision of healthcare services.
10. If outsourced, what is the name and address of the
provider.
11. If outsourced when does the current contract
conclude, what is the concessionary period under which it was let
and if there are contract extension period what are the duration of
these.
12. What is the current situation regarding the implementation
of Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARC) within the Force area and
who is the commissioning body for these victim focussed
services.

8. Unless otherwise agreed, the Contractor shall
respond to the Call (as defined in the Specification) in accordance
with the response times detailed below.

9. Invoices are submitted monthly for the "monthly"
contract value.
12. There is not currently a Sexual Assault Referral
Centre within the Cheshire Constabulary policing area. Work is
progressing with partner agencies to establish one, which includes
construction in addition to commissioning services. Partners
include local NHS, Councils and Third sector providers.
