Cost of Investigations in Child Abuse

The members of F.A.C.T. North Wales are anxious to compile an up to date list of all expenditure that was incurred on investigations into alleged child abuse.

I am advised that Police Forces do not generally keep details of this expenditure under the heading of individual abuse investigations which may have been incurred over a number of years.

I am further advised, however, that Police Forces do keep details of such expenditure under the names of the various operations that were mounted by that Police Force.

I would therefore be grateful, under the Terms of the Freedom of Information Act, if you would forward to me the full details of all expenditure that your Force incurred in the investigation of alleged abuse in ¬your operation/s, Bugle, Emily, Enamel, Granite, Honduras, Osmosis and Ozone

In accordance with section 1(1) (a) of the Act our response is provided below;

There is no information held.

As a result of a search of records held in storage we can confirm that financial records for the period in question are no longer held and have been destroyed. The retention schedule for financial records are currently 6 years plus the current year and records prior to 2004 are no longer retained.
