1) I would like to know the name of any ACPO officer or head of
department who received (in addition to their salary)
financial contributions towards the following - private health
insurance, school fees, non-professional club membership, living
allowance or relocation allowance in 2008/09 and 2009/10 and the
amounts received by each
2) I would like to know if there is a contingency fund at the
constabulary to cover private health insurance for staff and how
much money was put into that fund in 2008/09 and 2009/10
3) I would to know the number of people who received a Special
Priority Payment (SPP) with details of why it was awarded and how
much was awarded in 2008/09 - 2009/10
4) I would like to know the number of people who received a
Competence Related Threshold Payment (CRTP) and how much was
awarded in 2008/09 and 2009/10
Response
In accordance with section 1(1) (b) of the Act our response is
provided below;
Question 1: This part of your request has been transferred to
the Cheshire Police Authority who a the responsible authority for
appointments and remuneration of the ACPO ranking officers.
The authority will respond to you separately in due course.
Question 2: None. There is no such fund.
Question 3:
2008/09 = 1067 Officers, £1,209,934
2009/10 = 1195 officers, £1,438, 848.77
SPP is awarded for Officers in specialist posts.
Question 4:
2008/09 = 903 officers, £884,959.67
2009/10 = 911 officers, £953,111.27
