I would be eternally grateful if you could supply me with the following statistics for your respective force/geographical area:

The average cost to hold a prisoner in a cell in a police bridewell or custody suite per day. I only require information on prisoners held immediately after arrest if the figures differ for prisoners being held temporarily during transport from one prison to another.
The number of police stations in your respective force that operate for 24 hours a day, and/or the number of custody suites on the territory. Ultimately I am trying to establish the number of centres available to detain prisoners outside of normal working hours.

In accordance with section 1(1) (b) of the Act our response is provided below;

We do not hold information in respect of the average cost of holding detainees in our custody suites per day immediately after arrest.

There are 3 dedicated custody suites situated away from police stations that operate 24/7 for the purpose of holding detainees.
