Response
In accordance with section 1(1) (b) of the Act our response is
provided below;
Procurement within the Cheshire Constabulary is a two part
organisational arrangement. The strategic procurement based at HQ
and devolved procurement to the three basic command units within
the Constabulary.
For the strategic procurement based at HQ we can provide the
following:
- 7.8 people are employed to oversee the Strategic Procurement
Function
- the annual salary costs are £358,107
For the devolved procurement we are unable to provide exact
figure within the time/cost constraints of FOI but we can supply an
estimate with 12 full time staff across the Constabulary area at a
cost of £230,000.
These figures do not include the costs of the infrastructure,
which of course has multiple uses. As indicated to calculate the
individual costs would exceed the appropriate costs limit under
section 12 of the Freedom of information Act 2000. This is
currently £450. Those estimates provided are to assist you.
