  3. What number of dogs have been seized by your police force between 1/1/10 and 1/6/10 as being used in a crime?
  4. How many dogs held by your police force have died or been destroyed as a result of unknown cause, illness or behavioural issues while in your care (if known please give details) between 1/1/10 and 1/6/10?
  5. What is the total cost covered by your police force, for kennelling, vet treatment, legal bills and any other associated costs for holding seized dogs under the DDA between 1/1/10 and 1/6/10?
  6. How many dogs have been left at home under any leave at home policy between 1/1/10 and 1/6/10?
  7. What number of dogs held under any legislation, have been stolen or escaped while in the care of your police force each between 1/1/10 and 1/6/10?
  8. If applicable, how many of the dogs in question 7 were located and returned into the care of your police force?

In accordance with section 1 (1) (b) of the Act our response is provided below;

Question 1

The number of dogs seized between 1/1/10 and 1/6/10 under S1 Dangerous Dogs act 1991 is 16

Question 2

No dogs were seized under S3 of the Dangerous dogs act in the same period.

Question 3

No dogs were seized in the same period having been used in crime.

Question 4

No dogs held by us have been destroyed or died through unknown causes, illness or behavioural issues.
