I would like to request the most recent Domestic Violence
statistics within Cheshire and possibly the rates within the
Macclesfield area. If you also have information with how these
rates compare with the Nationa average, i would be extremely
greatful.
Response
In accordance with section 1 (1) (b) of the Act our response is
provided below;
For the 12 months ending September 2010, Cheshire recorded 6,232
domestic abuse incidents. Of these 1,151 incidents were in
Macclesfield.
We do not have National figures to compare to.
