In order to complete this request within the proscribed time, the information has been extracted from previous HO returns. The following caveats therefore apply:

a) Information was not available for all of the years requested. The best information available has therefore been provided for each query

b) Information for Q1 has been extracted from the annual Home Office PP02 Return (i.e. ADR601) ..... FTE figures. This query asks for the number of FTEs employed within the "Control Room" and "Forensics" functions. There is however no function entitled "Forensics" within the ADR601 return. Separate figures are available for functions entitled "Fingerprint/Photographic" and "Scene of Crimes". FTE totals have therefore been provided for these separate functions

c) Information for Q2 has been extracted from the annual Home Office PP02 Return (i.e. ADR554) ..... Number of officers (i.e. Headcount)

d) All information was correct as at the date it was initially extracted. However, due to system changes, this information may differ if it was re-extracted now
