Request
I am a student journalist at the University of Chester and I am
writing a story on crime. I was hoping to speak to someone on the
force who could give me a few quotes on whether they felt Chester
was a safe city?
I also wanted to know how much crime in the area students are
responsible for?
Clarification:
Spoken to re FOI Request and he states that he is happy to
withdraw the part of the request asking for quote on Chester as a
safe city, and would like to know how much crime in the area
students are responsible for, i have advised that the information
would be reliant upon the student stating that they were a student
upon arrest therefore it would not be a complete/true figure, he
also stated he would like this information for the Calendar years
2010 and 2009 if possible.
Response
In accordance with section 1(1) (a) of the Act our response is
provided below:
The Cheshire Constabulary does not hold the information you have
requested. There is no requirement for detained persons to declare
their occupation status.
