I would like to request information related to staffing at
Cheshire Constabulary.
a) Total no of police officers (as at the present date)
b) Total no of police officers who are routinely armed (as at
the present date)
c) Total no of police officers who work with Dog Handling Unit
(as at the present date)
d) Total no of dogs within Cheshire Constabulary’s Dog Handling
Unit
e) Total no of employees of Cheshire Constabulary (all staff
types)
f) Total no of complaints received during the period 01/06/2010
to 01/06/2011
Response
In accordance with section 1(1) (b) of the Act our response is
provided below;
a) This information is reasonably accessible to you by other
means and is therefore exempt information in accordance with
Section 21 of the freedom of Information Act 2000. Please see the

b) Routinely a minimum of 24 armed officers during the 24 hour
day. This number can fluctuate upwards at any given time.
