1. The number of reported accidents that have taken place on the A535 Holmes Chapel Road/Chelford Road between Twemlow Lane and Lapwing Lane over the past five years – 2005 to 2010

2. How many people have been successfully prosecuted for speeding while driving on the same stretch of A535 between Twemlow Lane and Lapwing Lane over the past five years – 2005 to 2010

3. How many people have been successfully prosecuted for using a hand held mobile phone device on the same stretch of A535 between Twemlow Lane and Lapwing Lane over the past five years – 2005 to 2010

In accordance with section 1(1) (b) of the Act our response is provided below;

2 – The Constabulary does not record offence data for speeding offences between 2 points on a road. Additionally, offence location details can be recorded on a generic level and could be detailed as just the A535 or A535 Alderley Edge etc. Therefore, the data provided below relates to the A535 in its entirety.

Total number of Fixed Penalty Notices issued for speeding on this road is 81

3 – Applying the same consideration as detailed in (2) above, there have been 32 Fixed Penalty Notices issued for mobile phone offences.
