Request

I refer to your recent request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 as set out below:

I am studying the development and use of Transform tiling. An unusual decorative product made in the 1970s. The tiles are often relief tiles and may have bright coloured or smooth panels.

I have a reference that shows the supply of Transform to two police stations.

In June 1974 £75 worth of Transform tiling was supplied to Seddon (Stoke) Ltd., for use at Middlewich Police Station at the instruction of the Cheshire County Architect

The record describes the order as 'multi Red 100mm Sqs. 100 + 200mm glass'

In July 1974 £82 worth of Transform tiling was supplied to Seddon (Stoke) Ltd., for use at Nantwich Police Station (no further details)

I have no record of Transform tiling being supplied to any other police station.

My request is simple. Is there any sign of tiling that is in any way unusual at either of these stations. Such tiles will not be anywhere else in these towns and not in any other station.

Is there a record of when these stations opened?

Response

In accordance with section 1(1) (b) of the Act our response is provided below;

We have checked our photographs and could not find any signs of these tiles, considering the cost would not cover a large area.
