1. Do you hold a list or database of members of the public based
on negative interactions with your authority? (This may include -
but is not limited to - a list of known complainants, or FOI
applicants, or people who may have had altercations with council
staff, or people who may be deemed to pose a threat to staff.)
2. If so, how many databases do you hold? Please give the name
or title of each list / database.
3. If so, how many people are on each database?
4. If so, what categories of information are held (e.g. name,
address, spouse, age, car registration, etc)?
5. If so, what are the ages of the youngest and oldest people on
each database?
6. If so, with the exclusion of personally identifying
information, please provide a copy of the database(s), including
the reasons for each person's inclusion.
Response
In accordance with section 1(1) (b) of the Act our response is
provided below;
The Cheshire Constabulary does not maintain any databases based
purely on negative interactions with members of the public either
with the police or other agencies.
The Professional Standards department do utilise a database for
the recording and administration of complaints made by members of
the public against police officers in line with our statutory
requirements under the Police Reform Act .
