Items stolen from Police

Request

  1. A list of incidents by date since 2007 in which items have been stolen from the police force.
  2. What these items were.
  3. How and where they were stolen, (ie from the police station, from an officer, from a patrol car).
  4. The approximate value of the items stolen.
  5. Whether or not the stolen item was later recovered.

Response

In accordance with section 1(1) (b) of the Act our response is provided below;

We have previously disclosed this type of information several times over the recent years and as a consequence we have decided some months ago to publish this and other frequently asked for information on our web site. The intention is to publish annually. As we have already made this decision the exemption at Section 22 of the Act would apply, Information Intended for Future Publication. However rather than invoke that particular exemption now I have provided below copies of all previous and or recent disclosures, which should answer your particular questions.
