Request

1. For the following list of offences:

  • Burglary in a dwelling
  • Robbery
  • Rape
  • Other sexual offences excluding rape

Please state (a) how many crimes of each type were recorded within your area as having occurred in the 2010/11 financial year and (b) how many of these were ‘screened out’?

Note: Some forces use and recognise the term ‘screened out’. For those that do not what I want are the number of crimes that it is decided do not warrant further investigation and manpower once an initial assessment of the facts of the case are gathered.
