I am a student at Stratford upon Avon college and have just
started to new unit of work on custodial care and it would be a big
help if you could give me any information and the rights, care,
management and safety rules and regulations when a person is in
custody.

There are 2 main documents:
The Police and Criminal Evidence Act Codes of Practice and
Guidance on The Safer Detention and Handling of Persons in Police
Custody.
Both are available on the internet via any reputable search
engine.
