Request
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to
request information regarding incidents being treated as murder,
manslaughter or culpable homicide committed between 1st January
2011 and 23rd September 2011.
I would like the information to include:
A. The number of incidents which have occurred.
Additionally, I would like the information to include, for each
crime:
B. The name and age of the victim. (If a name cannot be given, I
would instead request that the gender and age of the victim be
supplied).
C. The date of the crime/ date on which it was notified to the
police.
Response
In accordance with section 1(1) (b) of the Act our response is
provided below;
There were a total of 6 homicides recorded between those dates.
Please note, culpable homicide is an offence in Scottish Law
only.
