Please could you tell me how many full-time police officers are
tasked exclusively with monitoring violent and sexual offenders on
the Violent and Sexual Offenders Register?
Please could you tell me how many part-time police officers are
tasked exclusively with monitoring violent and sexual offenders on
the Violent and Sexual Offenders’ register?
Response
In accordance with section 1(1) (b) of the Act our response is
provided below;
Currently we have 14 full time & 3 part time officers
dedicated to managing Violent and Registered Sex Offenders within
the Cheshire Police area. However all Cheshire Officers are
empowered to investigate any offence so this number would not be
permanent force capability.
