The number of under-16s arrested for drug offences in the past
three years.
For arrests involving children aged 11 and under, please could
you provide information about the alleged crime, the drug(s)
involved, where they were arrested and the age of the person.
Response
In accordance with section 1(1) (b) of the Act our response is
provided below;
There were 61 arrests of under 16's for drug offences in the
past three years.None involved children aged 11 or under, breakdown
as follows;
December 2008 to November 2009 - 27
December 2009 to November 2010 - 21
December 2010 to November 2011 - 13
