The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

What is "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly"?

The Cheshire Police website will be updated every week with new information and advice about wide range of issues around drinking during the Christmas period. During the seasonal period there is a significant increase in alcohol related incidents and this campaign will discuss these issues and will offer advice and information about how to keep safe this winter.

Cheshire Police aren't saying that you can’t drink, just that if you do drink make sure you stay in control so that you don't put yourself or anyone else in danger.

This weeks focus is on The Ugly - Vulnerability.

Vulnerability

80% of disorder crimes involving vulnerability (including violence, rape, domestic abuse, sexual abuse and sexual assault) in the UK last year were influenced in some way by alcohol. It is reported that around 60% of rape cases reported involve alcohol.

In an emergency where there is an immediate threat to life or property, always call 999. To contact your local domestic abuse unit call the Cheshire Constabulary on 0845 458 0000.
