Inspector Ian Thorp

I have been in the police for 24 years and my duties have mainly been within the Chester and Ellesmere Port areas. I have carried out a wide range of roles including CID , Intelligence and Incident Management and numerous front line uniform positions.

My priorities for the policing of this area are:

  1. To ensure that the public have confidence in the service we deliver.
  2. To ensure that we provide the best possible levels of visibility of police and community support officer patrols in the area.
  3. To listen to, and work with, residents and the business community to address the issues they identify as important and to improve their quality of life.
