Inspector Kevin Chambers

I am Kevin Chambers, the Neighbourhood Inspector for Chester Outer, based at Blacon Police Station. My neighbourhood policing responsibilities cover the communities of Blacon, Saughall, Overleigh, Upton, Newton, Hoole, Vicars Cross, Huntington and Boughton Heath.

I have served the Cheshire Constabulary for the past 25 years, working in a wide variety of operational uniform and detective posts across the County. In recent years I have enjoyed secondments working with Greater Manchester Police and the Metropolitan Police. It is my intention to draw upon the experience of working in these different policing organisations for the greater benefit of the communities within the Chester Outer policing area.

I am supported by a dedicated and enthusiastic team of officers, many of whom have served this community all their policing service. They have developed strong bonds within their beat area’s which in turn engenders confidence and most importantly trust in the police.

To help residents feel safe in their neighbourhoods, I have a team of officers dedicated to proactively tackling crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour. The support of local communities is vital in providing information to help us catch and convict those who believe it is acceptable to commit crime with no regard to impact that crime has upon its victims. My committed team of Sergeants, Beat Managers and 10 PCSO’s take a problem solving approach to their duties. By focusing upon the root cause of a problem they strive to create longer term solutions which have a positive impact on people’s lives. They work with partner agencies that actively assist in achieving our goal of creating a safer environment for the communities within the Chester Outer NPU . I expect my Beat Managers and PCSO’s to be a familiar and visible site within your communities, please take time to approach them and engage with them, it is only through effective dialogue that we can truly understand the real issues that are important to you as individuals.
