Your team

Inspector Steve Beddows

I am Steve Beddows, the Neighbourhood Inspector for the Chester Outer area. I am based at Blacon Police station and am supported by four Sergeants and a wider team of Police officers and PCSOs who are dedicated to your neighbourhood. I have served in the Cheshire Constabulary for 25 years and have a broad experience in major crime investigation having served as a detective at all ranks.

My most recent role was as an incident response Inspector, which has given me a crucial insight into the importance of responding promptly to community issues and calls for service. I have really enjoyed my career to date and hope the experience I bring to this role will enhance the solid foundations already in place that ensures we are engaged with our communities. I am fully focused on making sure we deliver positive outcomes on local problems jointly with our partners - and most critically the people who live in our communities.

Cheshire Constabulary has structured its policing model to ensure that all departments are focused upon delivery of neighbourhood priorities and I am very positive that we have a strong structure to enable my team to deliver on key issues locallly. I want my team to be visible, accessible and fully engaged within their community patrol area. It is very important to me that our communities feel that they are listened to and their expectations are met. I recognise that policing is undertaken with consent of the community at large and we will strive hard to continue to merit that trust and engagement through every opportunity.

We are your police team and are there to ensure you have confidence that we will address and resolve your important issues and bring to justice those that want to disrupt your area through anti-social behaviour or criminal acts.

My team and I know this trust will not be earned or retained easily and our driver will be feedback from our community. We aspire to deliver the service you deserve.
