You Said, We Did

  • From 01/04/2012 to 30/04/2012 - Anti-social behaviour

You said: One of the last local priorities set was to reduce anti-social behaviour on Danebank Avenue and the surrounding areas.

We did: Patrols have increased in this area at peak times. Reports regarding anti-social behaviour have reduced from this area. For the long term there are plans to start up distractions clubs such as football to entertain the local youths. We will update you once these begin.

  • Violent crimes

You said: To reduce reports of violence crime across the Crewe NPT especially on Alexandra and Delamere beats.

We did: An operation targeting domestic violence. This was in two parts. The first was offering a specialist response car at peak times to ensure that the incidents received the attention it needed, explaining the support for the victims especially in the Criminal justice system. Time was taken to explain the dedicated domestic violence court which is held weekly at South Cheshire Magistrates which provides a premium service to domestic violence cases. Together with a second part of pro-active visits to known locations where domestic related violence occurs to offer advice and support . This operation shown an initial sharp reduction in domestic related incidents . By doing this it exposed the need to target the night-time economy which has seen early morning incidents of violence. This will remain the focus for this month.

  • Anti-social behaviour

You said: To reduce anti-social behaviour in the St Johns and Delamere beats, particularly around Edleston Road in Crewe.

We did: Increased patrols in this area which has identified the group responsible Two members of this group are being subject to ABCs, Acceptable Behaviour contracts. ABCs is an agreement by the individual not to do certain things . In this case the individuals are restricted to who they can associate with and which areas they can attend. However this is only two members of the group , so this will remain a priority in the Edleston Road area with evening high visibility patrols being conducted for the next month.
