Inspector Steve Griffiths

I am Steve Griffiths, the Inspector for Knutsford Neighbourhood Policing Team. This covers Knutsford, Mobberley, Mere, Chelford and other surrounding areas. I have spent nearly Fifteen years Policing the Eastern Area of Cheshire having been stationed at Congleton, Crewe and Macclesfield.

Christmas and the New Year went very well in the Knutsford area. There was very little Anti Social Activity to report and it seems that the majority of our residents enjoyed a relaxed and enjoyable festive season.

I myself was on foot patrol on New Years Eve on Princess and King Street and was met with very good natured revellers throughout the night.

Hopefully this now sets the tone for a good 2012.

Knutsford continues to be a very safe place and with your help we can keep it this way. January has started with a number of Burglaries on the Towns estates and Rural areas. These offences are very personal and frightening for the homeowner and must not be tolerated. I ask anybody who is a witness to any of these offences or has any information to contact the new Non Emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers in confidence.
