Local priorities
Local priorities set for the
period of 1st May 2012 to 31st May 2012
The following priorities have been set
by Sergeant Andrew Miller having considered the information held on
police systems and the results of various public engagement
throughout the month of November in the Handforth and Colshaw
areas. You can influence these priorities by either: attending one
of our public meetings; stopping and speaking to officers on
patrol; calling us on 0845 458 6374 (Voicemail).
- Burglaries - There has been a
recent small spate of Burglaries in the Mobberley Area with a
variety of different types of premises targeted. We will be
focussing our attention in this area over coming weeks.
- Theft - There has been a
small resurgence in the theft of York Stone from residential
driveways, pathways and patios. Those responsible often look like
they are working on premises legitimately whilst other incidents
have occurred during the night. If you see anyone acting
suspiciously around houses that have York Stone driveways please
make a note of registration numbers and descriptions and contact
the Police on the non emergency number 101.
How you can let us know what matters to you
You Said, We Did
-
From 01/04/2012 to 30/04/2012 - Thefts
You said: You were concerned about the recent rise in thefts of Land Rover's and agricultural Machinery in the rural areas around Knutsford.
We did: We are pleased to announce that such thefts have reduced dramatically over the last two months since certain arrests were made and the investigations are still ongoing. We would ask anyone with a Landrover defender especially to be extra vigilant though as such vehicles are being targetted nationally by organised thieves.

Burglaries
You said: You are concerned about the recent burglaries in the Mobberley area.
We did: Local patrols have been increased in the Mobberley area of Knutsford and local residents have been made aware of the recent activity and have been advised to make sure that they lock their windows and doors when they are not at home and to make sure that their back doors are locked even when they are in another room in the house. Also to report anything which may seem out of the ordinary to the area.
