Inspector Catherine Mitchell

Inspector Steve GriffithsI have been in the Cheshire Constabulary for 18 years having joined in 1994. My initial service was in the Wilmslow and Macclesfield areas; I left on promotion to Crewe, where I was an operational Sergeant. I have also completed roles in training and project management relating to police reform. I have been an Inspector in the East Cheshire area since 2006. My most recent role has been within the Eastern Area Partnership Unit, where I have worked to deliver a number of crime reduction and public safety initiatives.

I look forward to continuing the good work that the policing team have achieved in Knutsford prior to my arrival. Having grown up nearby and started my career around the corner in Wilmslow; I am thrilled to be at Knutsford and to be in a position where I can influence and shape the policing services that are being delivered locally.

I recognise, from my previous role, that the police cannot achieve community safety alone and I am looking forward to working together with other public authorities and with the people of Knutsford to keep the town, villages and rural communities safe for people to live, work and socialise.

I will be working with the existing team of police officers, PCSOs and staff at Knutsford
