Inspector Paul Loughlin
am Inspector Paul Loughlin. I have the responsibility for the
Neighbourhood Policing Team in Northwich.
The majority of my policing career has been spent in the CID as
a Detective Constable and Detective Sergeant.
In 2007 I joined the Northwich Neighbourhood Policing Team as a
Sergeant. I later worked on secondment to Vale Royal Borough
Council, leading on tackling anti-social behaviour in Vale
Northwich Neighbourhood Policing Team has well established
working arrangements with our local partners. In particular we work
closely with the multi agency Anti-Social Behaviour unit to address
crime and anti-social behaviour issues across
The Neighbourhood Policing Team would like to encourage members
of the community to tell us what they know about issues in their
areas, to enable us to take pro-active steps to tackle them.
The Neighbourhood Policing Team Officers hold regular meetings
in their beat areas. I would like to encourage people to take these
opportunities to shape how we provide a quality and relevant police
service to the people of Northwich.

Northwich is an attractive market town which stands in the
middle of the Cheshire Plain. For a long time Northwich has been a
centre for the Country's Salt industry. Northwich also boasts the
spectacular Anderton Boat Lift which gives people the chance to
experience what it was like to travel on a Victorian boat lift.
Northwich is primarily residential with a population of
approximately 30,000 people. The are also has very popular Bakers
Frank Roberts & Sons who have been associated with the town
since 1887 and continues to be based in Rudheath on the A556.

Priority Type: Tackling Drug Dealing in Northwich
Description: Members of the public are continuing to report drug dealing and suspicious activity in Northwich.
We are using all resources and powers available to us, to target the dealing of illegal drugs, linking in with Northwich Town CCTV, and specialised policing teams.
High Visibility Patrols in areas which are currently frequented by drug dealers, to deter drug activity and crime in the area, and to reassure the general public.
We will challenge people who are present in areas known for drug dealing, and deal with incidents robustly.
PCSO's will be out on bikes, reaching those places difficult to reach by car.

From 01/06/2015 To 30/06/2015-Vehicle Crime
Priority Type: Thefts from vehicles in Northwich.
Description: We have recently experienced a number of theft from vehicle offences in the Town. Most of these have been as a result of items being stolen overnight from insecure vehicles that have been left outside the owner's house. Officers on night shifts will be patrolling areas targeted by offenders, and stopping people acting in suspicious circumstances.
We would like to remind everyone to remove any items of value, mobile phones, tablets or sat navs, even lose change from inside your vehicle when it is unattended and please ensure that your car is left secure. Offenders often look for such items and may target your vehcile if they are sighted.
