Local priorities set for the period of 16th May 2012 to 16th June 2012

Local priorities agreed following community engagement and review of emerging issues being responded to by the NPU following calls from the community.

Leftwich and Kingsmead

  • Parking problems - To target people parking on double yellow lines along London Road.

You Said, We Did

  • From 01/04/2012 to 30/04/2012 - Parking problems, Hartford

    You said: Local residents raised concerns about the possible increase in anti-social behaviour on the Leftwich and Kingsmead estates in the lead up to the summer holidays.

    We did: Meetings have been held with the Police, local youths and a number of outside agencies in relation to this. Plans are currently being put into place to provide a wide range of activities during the summer holidays for the young people to take part in. Details of which will be sent out when the events, dates, times etc are finalised.

  • Nuisance youngsters, Weaverham

    You said: That you were concerned with groups of youngsters hanging around the shops, drinking and just causing a general nuisance.

    We did: We are attending all Primary Schools within the village to speak with the pupils with regards to Staysafe during the summer. We are also attending the High School to speak with their pupils regarding anti-social behaviour and underage drinking. The local PCSO and PC will patrol the area giving their attention to all the hot spot areas.

  • Speeding, Weaverham

    You said: That the parish council have had SID'S (Speed Indicator Devices) and you would like to see them being used in the Village monitoring the speed and highlighted, Northwich Road, Sandy Lane and West Road as being a problem.

    We did: We will be attending these locations and using the Speed Gun to prosecute and educate drivers. Also we will be attending The Primary Schools with regards to our Road Sate campaign.

  • Underage drinking, Weaverham

    You said: You were concerned with underage drinking and youngsters causing a nuisance at the carnival and the fair where there are young families.

    We did: We carried out hi vis patrols throughout the weekend of the Fair and Carnival. All issues were dealt with.

  • Speeding, Wincham and Lostock

    You said: Speeding was an issue in and round Wincham and Lostock villages.

    We did: Regular speed checks are being carried out in the villages of Wincham and Lostock, recently over 70 motorist have been reported for speeding. Speed Enforcement will continue to be carried out in various locations in the areas.

  • Anti-social behaviour, Barnton

    You said: That you were concerned regarding anti-social behaviour during the summer holidays, youngsters drinking, causing problems and damage on the Wreck, Barnton.

    We did: We have marked this area as a hot spot and gave the area passing attention. We have visited the primary school to speak with the children regarding Staying Safe during the summer holidays. We have also asked the Council Wardens if they will give the area attention.

  • Parking issues, Barnton

    You said: There are still parking issues outside the Co Op, Lydyett Lane, Barnton

    We did: We have continued to patrol the area and have given out tickets when required.
