Inspector Gareth Lee
I am Gareth Lee, the Inspector for Runcorn, based at
Runcorn Police Station. I am responsible for policing all of
Runcorn, including Daresbury. Preston Brook and Moore. I have spent
over 9 years as an operational police officer working in a variety
of uniform and detective roles. I have gained experience from the
Public Protection Unit,
CID
and recently through
designing and implementing changes to Cheshire Constabulary to
ensure we continue to deliver a high level of service to our
communities.
Runcorn has a highly motivated and dedicated team of police
officers and police community support officers (PCSOs) who are
committed to ensuring the people of Runcorn are safe and feel safe.
To this end I will ensure police officers and
PCSOs
are visible on the
streets of Runcorn and that we get to know as many members of the
local community as possible. I want the people of Runcorn to know
who I am, who their local officers and
PCSOs
are and how they
can contact us.
My aim is to continue to develop strong links with communities
and work closely with partner agencies in order to positively
impact upon the quality of life within our area. My intention is to
reduce crime and anti-social behaviour and to bring offenders to
justice. However, policing within your community is not something
that can be done by the police alone. We require your help and
support to better understand the problems in your area and to
influence our policing priorities. You are an integral part in the
success of policing at a local level and I would encourage you to
tell the police officers and
PCSOs
about any issues
concerning you. You can do this by either speaking to your local
officer or attending the community meetings we put in place in your
area.
