Inspector Neil Drum

I am Inspector Neil Drum, the Neighbourhood Inspector responsible for Warrington Central NPU, which includes the communities of Orford, Longford, Howley, Fairfield, Poplars and Hulme.

I have served with Cheshire Constabulary for 17 years and have served in a variety of uniform and CID roles across the Northern and Eastern areas of Cheshire. During my service I have been stationed at Warrington (Arpley Street), Risley, Widnes and Wilmslow Police stations.

I began my police service as a Constable stationed at Arpley Street Police Station, Warrington undertaking policing duties across the communities covered by the current Central NPU and I was therefore very pleased when I was appointed, in 2012, to lead Warrington Central NPU, having previously served on Warrington Town Centre NPU, including being in charge of town centre policing for over a year.

It is a privilege to lead Warrington Central NPU which consists of highly motivated and dedicated Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers and Special Constables who are working hard to prevent and detect crime and reduce Anti-Social Behaviour. I am committed to continuing to develop the strong links my officers have within the communities we serve and working with partners to tackle issues that are affecting the communities in which you live.

I would encourage you to come forward and let us know about the issues and concerns affecting you and your communities so that we can seek to identify community priorities and address those issues, furthermore If you have any information regarding those engaged in criminal activities or Anti-Social Behaviour in your community then I urge you to report this to us.

You can do this in a number of ways, for example contacting us by phone on 101 (or 999 in an emergency), speaking with your local officer, attending a local police engagement meeting, visiting the Police Station or, anonymously, by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 1111. You can also email the NPU with non- urgent queries on Warrington.central.npu@cheshire.pnn.police.uk

By working together we can make a difference and continue to make our communities safe and feel safe.

Please follow us on Twitter @WarrCentralNPU to get updates from Warrington Central NPU. I would also encourage as many people as possible to sign up to Cheshire Police Alert by visiting our website and following the link. This is a new way of getting vital local information out to the community and gives you the opportunity to feedback.
