From 01/04/12 to 30/04/12 - Anti-social behaviour
You said: There had been numerous reports of of anti-social behaviour in the area of East Avenue relating to a specific address of East Avenue. Residents were living in fear of leaving their home addresses.
We did: With the support of Cheshire Police Solicitors a Crack House Closure was applied for in November 2011 by the Police for for the address of 7 East Avenue this was granted through the Courts. Since its implementation there has been a marked reduction in the number of incidents reported by the the local residents. As a result of the reduction of the reports of anti-social behaviour a decision was made by Cheshire Police to submit a further application in February to extend the closure until March 2012. This again has been agreed through the Courts. Negotiations are being conducted with the owner of the occupants to manage the further use of the property. Extra Patrols are continuing to be visible in the area and Youth Services have also been involved in the area speaking to youngsters. Local PCSO's - Kenneth Williamson, Sarah Brown and Geoff Prescott regularly patrol the area speak with the local residents.
