Local priorities agreed following community engagement, community questionnaires, contact from Business Watch and information reported to us.

  • General crime - To target general cime around the Grange Industrial Estate.
  • Anti-social behaviour - To target anti-social behaviour on Dam Lane/Epping Drive and the Woolston Hub.

You Said, We Did

  • 8th February 2012 - Vehicle crime

    You said: To target vehicle crime and burglary on New Cut Lane

    We did: High-vis patrols were made around The New Cut Lane area on 13 separate recorded occasions, at various times throughout the day & night (on foot, bicycle & vehicle patrols). Lorry drivers were spoken to and leaflets distributed with crime prevention advice. PCSO Roberts, PCSO Hilton and PCSO Jones continue to contact businesses on the Woolston Grange Estate to add their contact details to the new Business watch . No crime was recorded in this area in January

  • Anti-social behaviour

    You said: To target anti-social behaviour on Dam Lane, Longbarn Lane at their juction with Woolston Grange Industrial Estate.

    We did: High-vis patrols were made on 21 recorded occasions during the month of January. Operation Chilli was set up to combat crime in this area and on Woolston Grange.This involved further patrols by other Police units. Crime prevention advice and intelligence was distributed to local businesses and some were visited personally .

  • Robberies

    You said: To provide reassurance to post officers, bank and service till locations

    We did: High – Vis patrols were made on 13 recorded occasions during different times. Advice was issued to users of service tills to deter crime.
