Inspector Mike Evans

I am Mike Evans, the Neighbourhood Inspector for Widnes. I joined Cheshire Constabulary in 2004 as a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) before becoming a Police Officer in 2006. I have spent the majority of my career policing Halton and Warrington in both uniform and Detective roles however was most recently based on the Dedicated Rape Unit based at Police Headquarters in Winsford and covering the whole of Cheshire.

At Widnes, we have a team of committed officers serving the public to ensure Widnes is a safe place for residents and visitors and an uncomfortable place for criminals and those set on causing anti-social behaviour.

My aim is to continue to ensure that you feel a part of policing in Halton as we cannot do it without your help, support and consent. I aim to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour and am focussed on ensuring that travelling criminals see Widnes as a place to avoid. I want to build on the excellent partnership working that is already taking place across Halton to further improve the quality of life within our area. Most importantly, I want to provide you with a Police service that you are proud of and I would encourage you to tell the police officers and PCSOs about any issues concerning you.
