Inspector Sharon CaseI am Sharon Case the Neighbourhood Inspector for Widnes.

I have been in the police force for over 16 years and have been the Inspector at Widnes since October 2008. I know the area very well and I know the people as I have worked in Halton for the majority of my service. I have worked in a variety of roles including the Public Protection Unit and the CID. For the past four years I have worked as a Detective Sergeant on the Proactive Policing Team in the Halton area.

My priorities for Widnes are to reduce Crime and Anti-social behaviour, deal effectively with Night Time Economy Issues and instil Beat Management into the Community. I want my officers to use their local knowledge, work closely with the local community to increase this knowledge and have closer relationships with our partner agencies to target offenders who persistently commit crime. I want us to look at long term solutions to prevent crime being committed. Reported crime figures are falling in the area and I want to continue that trend by using our resources in the most efficient and effective way possible.

I want to encourage the community to work with us, via our local meetings, our high visibility Police Community Support Officers, our Partner Agencies and our Neighbourhood Police Officers and by doing this keep Crime and Disorder on the downward trend.
