  • From 01/06/2013 To 30/06/2013-Winsford

    Priority Type: Drug crime

    Description: We have continued to develop intelligence regarding the supply of and use of drugs in respect of persons and addresses in the Winsford Neighbourhood Policing Team area. Positive action will be taken throughout the month of June to target those identified. Information from local residents is vital so and I would encourage anyone with information about drug-related activity to call Cheshire Police on 101. Information can also be passed anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.

  • From 01/06/2013 To 30/06/2013-Over Estate

    Priority Type: Small fires

    Description: In recent weeks we have we have seen an increase in the number of small fires being reported being started deliberately. The Over Estate has experienced the highest number, many being grass fires. We will be working with Northwich Anti-Social Behaviour Unit and Cheshire Fire and Rescue to identify those responsible. Patrols in the area will be stepped up.

From 01/05/13 to 31/05/13 - Anti-social behaviour, The Loont

You said: We have seen an increase in calls reporting anti-social behaviour by groups of youths in The Loont and alleyway’s accessing the area. Fence panels to private gardens have been damaged along with other issues such as noise nuisance. We will be targeting the area over the coming weeks looking to identify those causing the problem and committing criminal offences. Officers will be visible in the area to reduce calls and to provide reassurance to local residents. Discussions will be held with Cheshire West and Chester to see what can be done in respect of the alleyway’s layout / design to provide a long term solution.

We did: Hi visibility patrols have been conducted in the area and I am pleased to report we have had no calls regarding crime or anti-social behaviour in the past month. In repect of the issues caused by the alleyway's having consulted with Cheshire West and Chester it will not be possible at this time to gate or otherwise design out the problem.

Anti-social behaviour, Cherry Crescent

You said: Refurbishment of properties in Cherry Crescent is taking place which has resulted in the workmen’s cabins becoming an attraction for local children. There has been an increase of calls from residents reporting anti-social behaviour. Patrols will be stepped up to reduce the problem and work done with the building company to improve security on site.
